A political advertisement for the Herut – from the Young Herut. Herut was founded by Menachem Begin in 1948, and was the largest right-wing political party in Israel. The party eventually merged into the Likud. While Herut was in opposition until Menachem Begin became Prime Minister in 1977, today in Israel there are more streets, parks and squares named after Jabotinsky than any other figure in Jewish or Israeli history.
