A poster from the Jabotinsky movement – the Covenant of Revisionist Zionists. “The Gate To The State” is what the poster reads in English. Behind is a poster of Jabotinsky’s vision of the State of Israel, featuring a “Shtei Gadot”, or two sides of the Jordan River.

A poem which became a popular song amongst Betar, the revisionist youth movement included the slogan, “Two Banks to the Jordan.”

Each stanza in the poem includes the lyrics: “There are two sides of the Jordan River – This one is ours, and that one is as well.” The song was written in 1929 while Jabotinsky was visiting Paris, France.
